Booster Events
The Band Boosters host fun events and activities throughout the year. Here are a few:
Family Socials
Get togethers will be planned during the season. Our goal is to give both the kids and adults a chance to have some fun and spend some time together as a group. These events will be posted on the Charms calendar and mentioned in the weekly emails.
Trunk Or Treat
On or around Halloween, the parents line up their decorated cars in the parking lot beside the practice area and set up treat tables (or just serve out of their trunks). Band kids and younger siblings get dressed up and trick-or-treat from car to car. It is a huge hit every year! Look on the Charms calendar for the date (time will be right after band practice).
Band Camp Olympics
To break up the long band camp days, the Band Boosters parents lead the students in a UHS Band version of the Olympics. Each day teams compete in games and earn points, with a grand champion announced at the end of Band Camp.
Band Banquet
The final event of the band year is the banquet, which is typically scheduled in early May. Here, band families get together for one last night to remember the past season, honor our graduating seniors dinner together. See Charms for banquet date and volunteer sign-ups.
